Facebook closes the app moves due to its limited success

Moves is an application that monitors the physical activity of the user (ideal for the company to have good information from users to then show them personalized ads, etc.) that was purchased in 2014 from the company ProtoGeo Oy, based in Helsinki.. I remember that months before I bought it, being able to highlight its great usefulness and precision, however, it consumed a great deal of nergy (just as the Facebook or WhatsApp app does); On the other hand, with the arrival of motion coprocessors on smartphones, this app no ​​longer made sense. The app tracks daily activity, which includes walking, biking, and running, and will close on July 31.

Facebook ensures that all user data associated with the applications will be deleted within 90 days of closing, although knowing the company's history, you should know where that data is!

We regularly review our apps to assess which ones people value the most. Sometimes this means closing an application and its attached APIs. We know that some people are still using these apps and will be disappointed, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support.
