Facebook has removed 583 million fake accounts this year
A huge number that makes clear the large number of false accounts that are opened on the social network daily or annually. And that is also not enough, since there are still many false accounts active today.
Facebook against fake accounts
Not only are they engaged in closing and fighting these fake accounts, there is also a lot of work with spam messages on the social network. Since 837 million spam messages have been intercepted and eliminated so far this year. In addition, almost all of these messages were detected by Facebook before any user detected or reported them.
To show the ease with which a fake account is opened, in six months (October 2017 - March 2018) 1.3 billion fake accounts have already been eliminated. Which is equivalent to a figure that is half of the real users of the social network.
Most of these tasks on Facebook have been carried out thanks to artificial intelligence, in 96% of cases. So it is clear that this technology is one of the keys in the social network. What do you think of these figures?
