Filtration of the apusy socs that amd will launch between 2014 and 2015
A few weeks ago AMD launched its expected SoC Temash (tablets) and Kabini (notebooks and ultrathins) and it is expected that between October and December they will launch their expected Kaveri APUs (although there are still unconfirmed rumors about a possible postponement until February 2014). But from WCCF Tech we get information about their successors.
2014
For next year AMD will launch the following new APUs and SoCs:
- SoC Mullins: Themesh replacement based on the future Jaguar + micro-architecture. SoC Beema: Kabini replacement based on the future Jaguar + micro-architecture. APU Carizo: Kaveri replacement based on the future Excavator micro-architecture.
Possibly these new APUs have integrated graphics based on the Volcanic Islands family of GPUs (details of these future GPUs are still unknown).
2015
In 2015 AMD plans to launch its future Nolan SoC, which should be based on its future fourth-generation Cat low-consumption micro-architecture (possibly having a different code name than Bobcat, Jaguar and Jaguar +), in addition, it possibly has integrated graphics based on the future family of GPUs Pirates Islands.
Tsmc will manufacture amd and nvidia socs at 20nm in 2015
TSMC will start manufacturing 20nm SoCs for AMD and Nvidia in 2015 when the successors to Tegra K1 and Mullins / Beema arrive
