More rumors and details are coming about the upcoming AMD Radeon RX 590 graphics card. This time Videocardz has confirmed that Asus is working on a custom Asus Radeon RX 590 ROG STRIX Gaming variant based on AMD's Polaris Refresh GPU.
Asus Radeon RX 590 ROG STRIX Gaming is on the way
AMD was rumored to be working on a Polaris Refresh GPU, known as the Polaris 3 0, that would use the new 12nm process node to provide greater efficiency and faster clock speeds. It was indicated that the graphics cards would arrive sometime in the fourth quarter of 2018. Initially it was said that they would arrive as Radeon RX 600, but finally AMD would have decided not to create a new series.

In a previous leak, showing a 3DMark listing, the AMD Radeon RX 590 graphics card features a clock speed of 1545 MHz and 8 GB GDDR5 VRAM synchronized at 8 Gbps. The chip is expected to have the same number of 2304 shaders as the RX 580 and RX 480. The latest Videocardz leak reveals that Asus is already working on its Radeon RX 590 ROG STRIX Gaming graphics card. The graphics card is labeled ROG-STRIX-RX590-8G-GAMING and leaves out the AREZ mark, returning to ROG STRIX.
This alleged Radeon RX 590 will be the weapon of AMD to stand up to Nvidia and Turing until the arrival of Navi at 7 nm in 2019 supposedly.
