Just a week after the Google giant unveiled the second generation of its Pixel smartphones, an anonymous source has provided the Android Authority with the details about the upcoming Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, details that would have been confirmed by itself half comparing them with an internal document to which they would also have had access. These are the specifications of the upcoming Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL.

Pixel 2 XL Specifications

According to the information provided, the Pixel 2 XL will feature a curved QHD display and will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. It is not clear what the size of the screen will be, but the proportion between the screen and the body will be between 80 and 85%.

Another thing that we know for sure is that the Pixel 2 XL, how could it be otherwise, will hit the market with Android 8.0 Oreo as the operating system.

The device will also have two stereo speakers, but it will not have a jack for headphones, as it had already been leaked, being able to integrate them into the box with headphones with a USB-C connector that have not been conformed.

Both devices, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, will be equipped with a dual-camera setup with optical image stabilizer on both the front and rear.

The source points out that the Pixel 2 XL will come in a wide range of colors and will have a list of specifications worthy of a 2017 flagship, including E-SIM support, which allows connecting to different networks without the need to replace the SIM card. It probably also includes the second generation of Google's fingerprint scanner, IP67 dust and water resistance and Corning Gorilla Glass 5, as well as a 3, 520 mAh battery.

The Pixel 2 XL will also come with the Active Edge feature on the left side of the device that will allow you to invoke Google Assistant or silence incoming calls and alarms by simply pressing it.

Google Pixel 2 Specifications

Regarding the smaller of the two new smartphones that Google will present on October 4, the Pixel 2, this device will have most of the same specifications that we have already seen in the Pixel 2 XL, although it will also include some key differences.

The Pixel 2 will offer basically the same design that we already saw in last year's model. The biggest difference now lies in the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack and the inclusion of two dual stereo speakers, likely located in the larger frames.

Other differences from the model released in 2016 include an FHD display instead of the curved QHD display on the Pixel 2 XL. And since this screen is also smaller and with lower resolution, the Google Pixel 2 will have less autonomy by integrating a 2700 mAh battery compared to the 3520 mAh battery that will arrive inside the Pixel 2 XL.

And of course, the smallest of the new smartphones will also have the Active Edge function and will come with Android 8.0 Oreo as the operating system.

As an outstanding note, the atomic source that would have supplied all this information to the Android Authority medium has also pointed out that, with the purchase of any of these devices, users will get unlimited storage from Google Cloud up to 202 3, something especially attractive because, in principle We are not only talking about photos, but all kinds of files and documents.

Next Wednesday, October 4, in less than a week, Google will officially present the new Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 and we will be able to answer any doubts and find out if this generation will finally arrive in Spain or not. On the other hand, it seems that it is not the only surprise prepared by the search engine giant, which could also launch a Google Home Mini, and the odd novelty such as the rumored Pixelbook.
