Final fantasy xv for pc requires 155gb of disk space
Table of contents:
If you are looking forward to playing this new epic adventure from the Final Fantasy saga on PC, you'd better start making some space on your hard drive. Final Fantasy XV for PC will require about 155GB of space, according to the latest build of the game.
Final Fantasy XV and its 4K textures take up too much
Final Fantasy XV plans to land on PC in March with all the graphic and playable improvements that have been coming out on both versions of XBOX One and Playstation 4 consoles. All these improvements will come at a cost, which will be the large storage space to install the complete set.
This is not the first game to exceed 100GB, there are already other games like Forza Motorsport 7 or Gears of War 4 that already do it, including the odd MMO, but none have reached 155GB like this new Final Fantasy game.
What is the reason for such a size?
Apparently, this insane amount of storage space is due to the 4K textures that will come with the installation, even if you are not going to use them. Square-Enix would offer an optional installation of 4K textures, although the savings aren't that great either. If you look at the minimum requirements, the game would ask for at least 100GB of storage space.
During the month of February, Square-Enix will be launching a tool so that we can test the performance of our computer in Final Fantasy XV and prepare for what is coming. We hope and wish that such a size required by the game will be rewarded for acceptable performance.
