Firefox 56 automatically updates to 64 bit

Our computers are already more than ready to work with 64 bit. But, it must be said that most applications are not being too fast when it comes to migrating. In fact, many of the main ones do not yet have such a version. Although, Firefox has decided to take action on the matter.

The new version of the browser, called Firefox 56, will arrive at the end of the year. In this version it will automatically go to 64 bit. Mozilla has made the decision to stop updating all 32-bit installations. Without a doubt a moment of enormous importance.

Firefox 64 bit

64-bit versions of Firefox are not unknown to MacOS or Linux users. But, for all those with Microsoft computers, it is an important novelty. In fact, in the case of Apple computers, the 64-bit version is downloaded by default. A sign that they are one step ahead in this regard.

In Windows, the 64 bit Firefox arrived in late 2015. And for quite some time it has been optional for users. But, from now on it will cease to be. And users who download or update the browser will have the option with the 64 bit directly. So, we are starting to say goodbye to the 32 bit.

On September 26 Firefox 56 is expected to be introduced. Logically, only those computers with architecture support and a minimum of 2GB of RAM will be able to have this version.
