The popular Firefox web browser has recently received a new update in its version for iPhone and iPad that incorporates a new dark mode and a series of new tab functions.

Mozilla Firefox continues its improvement process

For some time now, the mobile browser developed by the Mozilla Foundation has had a “Night Mode” option. This option inverts the colors of the web pages except for the images and some other elements, in a very similar way to the way in which the “Invert colors” function can be found, which can be found in the “Accessibility” section of iOS. However, this is not a true dark mode as we understand it.

Version 13 of the app, released just a few days ago, adds a new dark theme that essentially enhances that night mode by darkening the interface. Tim Hardwick, from MacRumors, notes that, used simultaneously, "Firefox offers users probably the best nighttime browsing experience currently available on iOS."

To activate the night options, you must press the Menu button (the three-line icon that you can see in the lower right corner of the browser interface) and activate the Night Mode by clicking on the slider. Then select Settings -> Display, and choose the Dark theme.

In addition to the above, Firefox version 13 adds a couple of useful features for users who tend to have many tabs open at the same time. There is now a search bar on the open tabs screen to help find tabs with specific content, and individual tabs can now be dragged to rearrange them.
