With the arrival of Ryzen and the first AM4 motherboards, DDR4 memories seem to have a new boost. G.Skill wants to take advantage of this moment by announcing its new DDR4 Flare X and FORTIS memories, which are specifically designed for Ryzen.

The Taiwanese company presented two new series of DDR4 memories that will arrive in stores shortly.

G.Skill FORTIS

The first series is FORTIS which is geared for gamers. These memories come in speeds of 2133 and 2400 MHz, with 1.2 V, and in kits of two modules of 4 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB, plus another kit of four 16 GB modules.

G.Skill FLARE X

The Flare X series come in speeds from 2133 to 3466 MHz. G.Skill promises here the greatest compatibility and stability in these memory modules for the AM4 platform. Memory chips have also been carefully selected, so at a speed of 3200 MHz 14-14-14-34 latencies are offered at 1.35 V, which seem to be quite good.

The two new G.Skill series will go on sale during the month of March at prices that are still unknown.

This G.Skill announcement comes just as multiple AM4 motherboards seem to be having trouble setting DDR4 memories at speeds above 2667MHz. We discussed this in an article earlier today and a solution is expected from the manufacturers.
