G.skill launches ram kits up to 256gb
Table of contents:
G.Skill, the Taiwanese manufacturer, has announced the specifications for its new 32GB DDR4 modules, which will come in kits with up to eight modules for a large total memory capacity of up to 256GB.
G.Skill adds 32GB memory per module and new 256GB memory kits
If capacity isn't your primary focus, 32GB modules also come in extremely fast kits with speeds up to DDR4-4000, though these are limited to a maximum capacity of 128GB.
G.Skill expanded two of its main product lines: Trident Z Neo kits and Trident Z Royal memory kits. The highest capacity kit, as well as the highest speed kit, are called the Trident Z Royal. The rest of the kits are marked as Trident Z Neo. We can see the tables below to see the different possible configurations.
All the kits are compatible with the Intel XMP 2.0 profiles, which means that we will be able to easily enable these profiles in the BIOS (technically, UEFI) so that the kits work at the advertised speeds.
A BIOS update may be required for some motherboards to support these new modules, so be sure to check with your motherboard for the necessary updates to support these memories before making the leap.

All of these kits should be on the shelves in the coming months. G.Skill has not yet shared pricing information.
