Geforce gtx titan x2 in april with hbm2 memory

Anonim

Nvidia could get ahead of AMD at the launch of the next generation of GPUs with the GeForce GTX TITAN X2, a card that could hit the market in April with the revolutionary second-generation HBM memory.

The GeForce GTX Titan X2 will arrive to rival the Radeon R9 Fury X2 and will have the advantage against with the advanced memory HBM2 that will offer a bandwidth of approximately 1 TB / s.

The TITAN X2 will have a performance between 50% and 80% higher than the TITAN X so it will be a breakthrough and could be the first card to allow a very remarkable gaming experience at 4K resolution. Faced with such an increase in performance we should be facing the debut of the Pascal architecture and its manufacturing process at 16nm FinFET by TSMC.

Later, possibly in June, other Pascal-based Nvidia graphics cards will arrive, the first to do so would be the successor to the GTX 980 which will include the GP104 silicon along with GDDR5X memory with a bandwidth of 448 GB / s. In this way, the HBM2 memory will be used exclusively in the highest-end cards such as the aforementioned TITAN X2 and the successor to the GTX 980Ti.
