Gigabyte has launched its new line of Radeon RX 550 graphics cards, offering two versions with a total of 2 GB of memory and differentiated by the speed of its core. These are two entry-level solutions for undemanding users or e-Sports fans.

Gigabyte Announces Radeon RX 550 D5 2G and Radeon RX 550 Gaming OC 2G

The fastest of these comes with a core speed of 1, 219MHz while the other reaches 1, 195MHz. Both use a 128-bit bus for their 2 GB of GDDR5 memory and lack an auxiliary power connector due to their low power consumption. Both include Gigabyte's advanced Windforce cooling solution with a patented Blade fan design and 3D active fan functionality.

The company claims a 23% airflow improvement over traditional fans due to the 3D curve in the fan surface. They include the semi-passive feature that keeps them turned off until the card reaches a temperature threshold, at which point they start to spin to prevent overheating.

Both cards feature Gigabyte Ultra Durable technology, which includes solid capacitors and high-quality chokes for durability and reliability. As for software, it provides the Aorus Graphics Engine tool with both cards, allowing one-click overclocking, as well as the ability to control clock speeds, voltage, power, and fan profiles.

The new Gigabyte Radeon RX 550 D5 2G and Radeon RX 550 Gaming OC 2G are available for approximately $ 80 and $ 90.
