Gigabyte GTX 1080 XTREME GAMING
Gigabyte was the first to confirm the first custom GTX 1080 model. As we can see in the images, it is identical to the Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti Xtreme Gaming that we analyzed not long ago and that will have its customizable RGB lighting system. Although it may be that it used the image of the GTX 980 Ti for its launch.
The card will have the Pascal GP104 chip manufactured by TSMC and in a manufacturing process of 16nm FinFET + along with 8 GB of GDDR5X memory at 2.5 GHz (10 Ghz effective) and a 256-bit bus with a bandwidth of 320 GB / s. The reference model of the GTX 1080 incorporates a base frequency of 1607 Mhz and with Boost it goes up to 1733 MHz. How much will the Xtreme Gaming have? It is not yet known, but we are sure that it will exceed 2200 MHz with overclock.
We recommend our guide to the best graphics cards.
What seems evident is that you will have a completely customized PCB with the best possible quality components belonging to the Ultra Durable category. No final specs or pricing has yet been revealed.
Something logical at this point, since the reference models have not yet arrived at the stores or the media, but if it follows the custom of previous generations… surely they are about 100 or 150 euros more than the base model.
