Gigabyte is officially launching its own Radeon VII graphics card, based on the reference model, which comes with 16GB of HBM2 memory and all the goodies AMD has designed for this GPU.

Gigabyte launches its Radeon VII with three gift sets

Based on VEGA technology, AMD along with Gigabyte are offering to the mass market, the first graphics card for games made in 7nm, something that AMD does not emphasize every time it has the opportunity, after all, it is winning in this apart to Nvidia and its generation RTX Turing, which is manufactured with a 12 nm node.

The Gigabyte Radeon VII graphics card does not differ in any way from the specifications and design that we know of from the reference model announced at CES 2019. The graphics card has 3840 stream processors, 16 GB of HBM2 memory with a bandwidth of 1 TB / s. The base frequency is 1450 MHz and can be raised to 1800 MHz at full load. Aesthetically, it still uses three turbines, now with the Gigabyte logo on each one.

The graphics card is also offering full AMD Radeon FreeSync 2 HDR compatibility, which is offering more than 2 times better brightness and color volume compared to sRGB.

Resident Evil 2 Remake, Devil May Cry 5 and The Division 2 with the purchase of a Radeon VII

To differentiate itself from the reference model that AMD and other partners will sell, Gigabyte is offering three games with the purchase of the Radeon VII. Thanks to AMD's 'Raise the Game Fully Loaded' bundle, buyers will receive a free copy of Resident Evil 2 Remake, Devil May Cry 5, and The Division 2. This should tip the balance in Gigabyte's favor, unless other partners are also offering it at launch.

At the moment, we do not know when we will see on the market the first 'customized' models of Gigabyte Radeon VII.
