Gigabyte P35 v3 laptop

Gigabyte launched its first gamer version of this laptop in late 2013. The packaging used is a large cardboard box ideal for transport and that the arrival at our home or store is perfect. The bundle is made up of:

The design of the laptop is very beautiful and the materials that accompany it are in the category of a premium laptop. You have dimensions of 38.5 x 27 cm and a thickness of 20.9 mm, while its weight ranges to 2.3 kg. In the hardware section we find a 15.6 ″ LED Ultra HD (1920 * 1080) 16: 9 screen with LCD technology. The processor is the powerful i7-4720HQ at 2.6 Ghz and 6MB of cache, 16GB of DDR3 memory, a storage system with a 1TB hard drive to store information and a 128GB SSD with mSATA connectivity where we will have the Windows 8.1 PRO operating system.. The graphics card is one of its strongest points with the excellent 4GB GTX965M that is capable of moving any game with this excellent resolution and configuration.

Regarding connectivity, it has an RJ45 10/100/1000 that is not designed like the famous "Killer" but it does its job efficiently. It also has Bluetooth V4.0 connection, Wifi 802.11 a / b / g / n and AC connection, card reader, Blu-Ray optical drive and without forgetting the USB 3.0 ports.

We have a full keyboard with full configuration and independent alpha-numeric and number keyboard. The sensations are similar to the famous “Chewing gum” type and it is a pleasure to write on it. I'd also like to highlight the ability and envelope when playing multimedia sound as a gamer.

Lastly, it has well-designed cooling and that thanks to the thickness of the base and the size of the laptop perfectly fulfills its mission. As we see in the images, it has a design with many grids throughout the rear area, so we can confirm that the work done by Gigabyte is excellent.

Experience and games

As I have previously explained, we have a Full HD screen with 1920 * 1080 resolution, which is the ideal resolution for a 14 ″ and 15 ″ monitor, both for games and when working. All of our tests are at native resolution with 4xx filters so that the most demanding users can enjoy this panel and experience on a laptop. If we lower filters we will have better results. Final words and conclusion

It is the first contact with a Gigabyte gaming laptop and the sensations could not have been better. We have a classic, minimalist and above all elegant design with hardware to match: the latest generation i7, 16GB of RAM, SSD hard drive plus an internal hard drive, 4GB graphics card and excellent cooling.

In our laboratory we have put this equipment to the maximum with games like Metro Last light, Battlefield 4 and Tomb Raider with Full HD resolution and x4 filters and the performance has been brutal. For example in Battlefield 4 it has allowed us to play 55 FPS or the Tomb Raider itself at 50 FPS. It is so nice to work and play with a laptop of this caliber.

We are facing an ideal solution for the professional user and gamer who seeks the best of the best in a portable computer. The Gigabyte P35 V3 is an excellent option, only that if we want to acquire it, the price will amount to at least € 1, 700… which is clearly not within everyone's reach. I hope that this new adventure of the brand begins to come out much more variety of notebooks and cheaper.
