GIGABYTE presents the C621 Aorus Xtreme motherboard to compete against ROG Dominus

ASUS is monetizing its exclusivity as the sole provider of a motherboard for the Xeon W-3175X, which costs around 1, 550 euros. It was only a matter of time before an alternative came out, and here it is.

GIGABYTE introduced the C621 Aorus Xtreme, a monstrosity that draws power from the combination of two 24-pin ATX and four 8-pin EPS connectors, conditioning power for the CPU with a gigantic 32-phase VRM that is cooled by a large heatsink. Aluminum heat covering not only much of the top of the board, but also the I / O area and much of the back end of the board. Two 6-pin PCIe connectors are also required to stabilize power from the PCIe slots. The massive PCH heat sink extends to meet the VRM heat sink at the other end.

The motherboard features a riser card that provides four M.2-22110 slots with PCIe 3.0 x4 cabling. It has a U.2 port and eight SATA ports that complete the storage options.

The C621 Aorus Xtreme features two GbE interfaces managed by Intel I210AT and I219LM controllers, a high-quality integrated audio solution, and an immeasurable number of easy-to-use overclocker features including diagnostic code readings, voltage measurement points, voltage stabilizers, and a feature-packed BIOS setup program.

The only bad thing here is that we don't know the price it will have, but knowing that the ROG Dominus costs around 1500 euros, we can already get an idea.
