RTX 2070 AORUS Gaming Box for Laptops Revealed

Gigabyte, like other manufacturers, has wanted to cover the segment of gamers who love to enjoy the most demanding games anywhere with their laptops.

The folks at Videocardz posted a picture of the final Aorus brand product. Like previous similar Gigabyte products, the RTX 2070 Aorus Box uses a compact form factor that takes advantage of its RTX 2070 Mini ITX 8G card. With a quick glance we can see that there is a custom cooling setup with a single large fan and no cover.

This variant is supposed to use the TU106-400 (non-A) chip, which is the lowest powered RTX 2070 variant found in the Gigabyte RTX 2070 Mini ITX 8G. This does not exclude that a nice overclocking can be done, but its base frequencies are 1410 MHz base and 1620 MHz in boost. The amount of memory is 8 GB of GDDR6 memory with a bandwidth of 448 GB / s.

On the front, the dock connects to the laptop via a Thunderbolt 3 Type-C connection with support for up to 4 PCIe tracks. It also provides 4 USB-A ports for peripherals along with 3 DisplayPort ports, 1 HDMI 2.0 and 1 USB-C on the graphics card itself.

The good thing about this box is that we can replace the card with another model in the future, as long as it is the same size with a maximum of 175 W of TDP.

Pricing and availability have not yet been released.
