Gigabyte is announcing the availability of new BIOS updates for its X470 and B450 motherboards throughout its lineup.

Gigabyte X470 and B450 motherboards receive support for Ryzen 3000

The X470 and B450 motherboards are getting BIOS updates that will make them compatible with new-generation Ryzen processors, to be announced in the coming days. Starting today, these processors will be responsive on Gigabyte X470 and B450 series motherboards with a simple BIOS update.

Gigabyte comments that those 300 series motherboards; X370 and B450, will receive their BIOS updates at the end of this month of May, so they have wanted to give priority to their series of newer motherboards.

Gigabyte has taken the time to publish the BIOSes, but they are already here, so if you have any of the Gigabyte AM4 X470 or B450 motherboards, they will have to choose exactly the BIOS that is compatible with their motherboards. The BIOS version is F40 or later versions that can be published if they have been released later when reading this article.

Ryzen 3000 processors would be announced at the end of May at Computex, improving performance and efficiency compared to the second generation Ryzen. At the same event, many manufacturers, including Gigabyte, would unveil their new X570 generation motherboards and probably B550 and A530 as well.

Computex 2019 will be held between May 28 and June 1, where AMD will give the opening speech.
