Gigabyte xtreme gaming xp1200m now available

Gigabyte has announced the availability of its first power supply for high-end equipment, the Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming XP1200M which was already shown at Computex 2016 last month.

As its name suggests, the Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming XP1200M is a unit with a maximum output power of 1200W to be able to power very high-end systems with various graphics cards inside. It features 80 PLUS Platinum energy efficiency to reduce heat consumption and losses, Japanese solid capacitors, a single + 12V rail design and the most common electrical protections.

The Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming XP1200M is cooled by an advanced 140mm fan with intelligent speed control that is maintained at a loudness of less than 20 dBA when the load is less than 720W for very quiet operation. By increasing the load to 1000W its loudness increases up to 30 dBA and at maximum load reaches 35 dBA.

This unit will be enough to build very powerful equipment with 3 high-end graphics cards thanks to the inclusion of a total of six 6 + 2-pin connectors. The rest of its connectivity options include a 24-pin ATX connector, two 4 + 4-pin EPS connectors, twelve SATA connectors and eight Molex connectors along with two Molex-to-Berg adapters.
