Little by little we are learning new details of the main Z390 motherboards, which will come to the market with the ninth generation Intel Core processors. On this occasion, images of the Gigabyte Z390 Gaming SLI have been filtered, thanks to which we can already see some of its improvements.

Gigabyte Z390 Gaming SLI includes a VRM with a high number of phases

Everything seems to indicate that with the arrival of the Z390 chipset, Gigabyte is focusing on updating mainly the VRM, the names of the plates and the appearance in general. Ninth generation Intel Core processors will offer up to eight cores, up from six in the eighth generation, so the motherboard's power system will need to be more robust to avoid problems. The leaked photo shows a 12-phase VRM, which should be more than enough to achieve high levels of stable overclocking in an eight-core processor.

Beyond that we see few differences compared to the current Aorus Elite. The audio chipset has been modified, one of the PCIe x1 slots has been updated to x16, and there are fewer connectors on the I / O bracket. We also highlight that the motherboard has two reinforced slots for graphics cards, something that will prevent them from being damaged by the weight of the most advanced models. This new Gigabyte Z390 Gaming SLI doesn't represent the top tier in the Gigabyte lineup, it doesn't even have the AORUS brand, so it clearly won't be the manufacturer's best model.

It is expected that over the next few weeks we will have new details about the new motherboards that Gigabyte is preparing, including the Aorus models of the highest range. What do you think about the characteristics of this Gigabyte Z390 Gaming SLI? You can leave a comment with your opinion.
