Many Google applications have obtained the dark mode so far this year. Therefore, it was expected that Gmail would also be one of these applications. Something that has happened now, because it has been seen that they begin to test with the dark mode in the beta of Android Q. At the moment we do not know when it will officially arrive, but the tests are underway.

In the photo below you can already see this dark mode in the Android app. The interface becomes a dark gray color in this case, within its menus.

Dark mode on the way

At the moment we have not been able to see any photos of the inbox in Gmail with this dark mode. Presumably, the application applies it in its entirety, also including the tray. For now it is something that is in the testing phase, in this beta of Android Q. So it seems that it still has a few months until it is going to be launched officially.

It is not too surprising that you get this dark mode. Google has already been applying it to many of its applications. For this reason, it is news that many expected for a while.

The question is how long it will take until the dark mode is officially launched in Gmail for Android. Although the first tests have recently started. So it will probably take a few months yet. We will be hearing more news in the coming weeks.
