Google Chrome is by far the most widely used Internet browser today, so the release of the new version Chrome 56 is sure to attract attention, especially due to the novelty of rapid reloading of tabs.

Google Chrome 56 with quick tab reload

One of the most frequent tasks when we are surfing the net, is to reload a tab (F5) to see if it has updated information. In Chrome 56 this process is significantly improved, being able to reload a web page up to 28% faster than in previous versions of the browser and 60% faster in validation.

What is' validation?

This process is generated when the browser has to connect to the server to verify that the images and other data are still there when the page is reloaded, that process is called validation and now Chrome does it much faster than before.

This improvement is important especially for mobile phones and tablets, where taking the shortest possible time on a task (in this case browsing) results in greater battery life.

Other Chrome 56 news

As of this version of Google Chrome, WebGL 2.0 is already activated by default for all users and native support is also added to the FLAC format, something we already saw in Firefox 51. In addition, a new API was included that allows Windows, Linux, macOS and Android browsers to communicate with each other under the Bluetooth LE standard.

The update should already be available to install from the browser itself or manually download and install from the Chrome website.
