Did you think we were done for today? Nothing is further from reality because the new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, and the new Pixel Slate tablet have come accompanied by a new smart screen with integrated Google Assistant. We are talking about the Google Home Hub.

Google Home Hub, a smart home screen

After the Google Home, Home Mini and Home Max, the company had to bring something new and different. And although the truth is that, after the numerous leaks we already knew practically everything, we still had the details that, after all, is what makes the difference today. This is how the Google Home Hub has arrived, a new smart home screen that, of course, has the Google assistant.

Technically, the new Google Home Hub is an " interactive video player, " or at least that's how the FCC defines it in the United States. And yes, it's true, I'm sorry it stays there.

This is the first Google smart speaker to have incorporated a screen into its design. Specifically, it is a fully interactive seven-inch color screen, making the device more of a true multimedia center.

With a minimalist design and attention to detail, the new Google Home Hub fits perfectly with the design line of the rest of the brand's products and, of course, it will look good anywhere in your home.

Built in plastic and fabric, the Google Home Hub is presented in white with a seven-inch screen and adapted interface of Android Things. This screen, whose resemblance to a 7-inch tablet is more than reasonable, is placed on a base-support that integrates a speaker. And in this whole set, Google Assistant is the true protagonist.

The Google Home Hub integrates all the functionalities of the aforementioned Google Home series of products, but it also allows the reproduction of videos and, of course, the control of other connected smart devices (light bulbs, thermostats, alarms, automatic blinds…). The great advantage is that, thanks to its screen, you will be able to view all the information that is useful for the user.

You can also transform it into a digital photo frame, and you can read the news of the day to stay up-to-date with current events. You can connect security cameras and see what happens in your home thanks to its dual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

It also has a front camera so you can make video calls, a long-range microphone that you can disconnect with the push of a single button, and a 10W speaker.

With the Google Home Hub, the company thus follows in the footsteps of Amazon with Alexa, and reinforces its position in a juice and growing market, that of the smart home.

Regarding its price and availability, exact release dates have not been confirmed yet, but we do know that it will be available in two finishes, white and charcoal gray. In the United States it will have a price of 149 dollars, so in Spain we can expect it to be around 159-169 euros approximately
