It was rumored for a few weeks that Google was preparing to launch a new device baptized as Google Pixelbook, it has finally been officially presented as an Ultrabook with premium features and the ChromeOS operating system.

Google Pixelbook: all the features

Google Pixelbook is a new team within the Ultrabooks category, its main difference is that it works with the ChromeOS operating system that until now had been reserved for very cheap computers with modest features. Pixelbook includes a screen with a diagonal of 12.3 inches and a resolution of 2, 400 x 1, 600 pixels, which translates to a density of dots per inch of 235 dpi. This screen is accompanied by the Pixelbook Pen that is capable of recognizing up to 2000 pressure levels and a writing angle of 60ยบ with a response time of 10 milliseconds.

Inside the Google Pixelbook hides a 7th generation Intel Core i5 / i7 processor based on the Kaby Lake architecture to offer an exceptional balance between power and power consumption. This processor is accompanied with up to 16 GB of RAM and flash storage of up to 512 GB of capacity.

All this placed in an aluminum chassis with 10.3 mm of thickness and a total weight of only 1.1 Kg. Google has managed to integrate a battery that promises up to 10 hours of autonomy and that also has fast charging technology through a USB Type-C port, which offers 2 hours of autonomy with only 15 minutes of charge so that you always have it ready for leaving home.

The negative part of the Google Pixelbook is its starting price of $ 999, the pen is sold separately for $ 99, very high prices for a team with ChromeOS.
