Google Stadia is a new streaming video game service that had its presentation the other day, detailing the date of its launch, the price of its subscription and the games that will be available on it.

Google Stadia in 4K would consume 1 TB of data in 65 hours

Google announced the pricing, launch plans, and data requirements for its Stadia streaming service. This includes a recommended minimum of 10 Mbps for 720p and 60 frames per second (fps) play and stereo sound, 20 Mbps for 1080p resolution at 60 fps with HDR and 5.1 surround sound, and 35 Mbps for 4K games at 60 fps with HDR and 5.1 surround sound.

Naturally, this will require a large amount of data consumption while we are playing. Specifically, they suggest that "it runs at about 15.75 GB per hour of 4K streaming, 9 GB per hour of 1080p, or 4.5 GB per hour at 720p." In 4K, that would mean reaching 1TB of data in 65 hours or 113 hours for 1080p.

This is not a problem if your Internet connection has no data limitations, although not all ISP services offer unlimited bandwidth. So if you are thinking of using this service, or any other that requires such a large amount of data, you may want to check your Internet account details to see if you have no bandwidth limitations.

Google Stadia will be out in November, with a $ 10 Pro tier that allows streaming of up to 4, 000 games, 5.1 surround sound and some occasional free games. For $ 129 we have a Founder's Edition that includes a controller, a three-month subscription and a Chromecast Ultra. The free Stadia Base plan will be able to stream games in up to 1080p and won't require a subscription, but it will be out next year.
