YouTube has announced that it is working to bring its YouTube VR app to the Samsung Gear VR virtual reality device through the Oculus Store, the leading app store on the South Korean brand's device.

YouTube VR will come to Samsung Gear VR to offer new virtual reality experiences to users of this popular platform

The YouTube VR app is now available on Daydream View, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR devices. Google's next step would be to get it to the Samsung Gear VR, and then to Oculus Rift and Oculus Go through the Oculus Store. The application will be updated in Daydream View and Gear VR with a new function called "Watch Together". This is a new feature that will allow the user to view and discuss videos in a virtual space with their friends, and which can be accessed by clicking on the "Watch Together" icon under the playback controls. For now this new function will not arrive on the other devices.
