Intel Xe graphics will soon address the graphics card industry and the community awaits with high expectations. In principle, they will have a low / medium power and the issue is that according to a leak, the first developer kits have been shared.

New Intel Xe graphics are on the way

As we told you a few days ago, Intel CEO Bob Swan is focused on taking the company to a new level. Therefore, its commitment to Intel Xe graphics is being very relevant.

Despite the defeats the company has suffered on this issue in the past, Intel is determined to bet everything again.

This quarter of the year we have reached an adequate power for our first discrete DG1 graphics, an important milestone

As we know, the company will use a slightly different manufacturing process for these specialty kits.

The technique consists of installing a prototype chip on a custom PCB board to test its operation and performance. This would lay the groundwork to see if future Intel Xe graphics would be able to handle real workloads, allowing them to almost enter the global market already.

In principle, the DG1 Developer Kit has been shipped to different groups in different countries, according to the European Economic Commission . They have also mentioned that it is in an Alpha version, which would position the launch of these graphics for a few months.

Consistent with some rumors, we would expect Intel Xe graphics to be released in the early to mid- 2020s .

Everything is still up in the air, so we cannot know any more information than what the same brand hints at. However, as soon as they go on sale, you'll have the review here, so stay tuned for news.

And you, what do you expect from these discrete graphics from Intel? Do you think they will get their place in the market or that AMD and Nvidia will expel them? Share your ideas in the comment box.
