Grid autosport gives fresh air to playstation 3 and xbox 360

After succeeding in the past as TOCA, one of the oldest Codemasters sagas returns to say goodbye to PS3 and 360. Codemasters has been the most prolific company of the last generation when it comes to racing games. Therefore, it is not surprising that, despite the fact that the new consoles are already on the market, he has decided to launch a new installment of GRID for PS3 and Xbox 360, with which he has refined the formula of the second, which received some complaints for being something arcade, since the control was too much oriented to the drifts, which allowed to save the errors. That has been mitigated in Autosport, a title that puts us in the shoes of a driver and invites us to experience a career in the world of competition, with up to five disciplines in which cars behave in very different ways: passenger cars, single-seaters, endurance, urban racing and tuning (with drifting and time trials). Of course, if you have played the previous two installments or even F1, many of the circuits and cars will be familiar to you. Luckily, with the inclusion of night races it gives another air to many of those tracks, since it is a joy to drive "in the light of the headlights".

The lighting of the circuits and the headlights of the cars give a really captivating effect, although it does not reach the level of GT6.

Endurance races are one of the novelties of the game, but its name must be put into question, since they last around ten minutes and do not include pit stops or a day-night cycle. Even so, it is the most complete and realistic discipline of all those included in the game.

It also has a garage that is made up of about 70 cars, belonging to manufacturers such as McLaren, Aston Martin, Bugatti, Ford, Mercedes.

TIRE WEAR

You have to drive carefully, as the wheels deteriorate with the blocks, something that is reflected in four indicators.

THE PATH MODE

He is the big star of the title. Its more than 200 events, divided by independent categories (with which an experience level is associated) gives for more than 50 hours of fun. To this we must add the presence of an online mode in which we must acquire our own cars, whether new or second-hand. There are challenges and clubs can be created.

As is common in Codemasters, the EGO graphics engine offers remarkable performance, with runs of up to sixteen riders running very smoothly. Now there is no rain and the inner chamber is very poor. Despite this, the title breathes passion for the engine and is a great farewell before making the leap to the new generation.
