It was recently discovered that the new GTX 1660 graphics cards and their Ti variant had been listed in a Russian store. Now it is AIDA 64 who is adding support for a GPU called TU116. This is precisely the GPU with which both new variants of Nvidia are known, which have not yet been announced.

AIDA 64 adds support for the GTX 1660/1660 Ti

It is clear that NVIDIA is preparing to launch a non-RTX compatible GeForce GTX 1660/1660 Ti in the near future. After the plethora of rumors and information leaks, AIDA has just started adding support for a GPU called TU116.

It is suggested that there will be two graphics cards based on this chip, namely the GTX 1660 and the 1660 Ti. We already saw Palit's GTX 1660 Ti listed on a Russian site. The Ti variant has GDDR6 graphics memory, while the non-Ti variant would have GDDR5 graphics memory, as well as a 6GB and 3GB configuration.

The launch seems imminent for this new Nvidia series

This new series would have no Ray Tracing and would come to replace the GTX 1060 and rival the AMD RX 590. It is unknown if Tensor cores exist on both cards, but due to the details revealed from the Russian store, there is no mention of Tensor cores among their specifications. The reported base frequency is 1500 MHz for the GTX 1660 Ti, which can reach 1770 MHz. The memory speed would be 12 Gbps.

A few weeks ago the information was known that this new series would be released on February 15 for about $ 279 for the Ti variant, and from all the data that is emerging lately, it does not seem a crazy date.
