Nvidia will unveil its GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER graphics cards shortly and it is confirmed that it will use GDDR6 memory. We know this based on a new leak from the Videocardz site, which has shared images of the Zotac GTX 1660 SUPER model.

The Nvidia GTX 1660 SUPER series has undergone several leaks and the latest includes images of ZOTAC custom models that have been leaked online.
In terms of specs, the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER would use the TU116-300 matrix, just like the existing GeForce GTX 1660. It would have the same central configuration of 1408 CUDA cores, 80 TMUs and 48 ROPs. Clock speeds are not mentioned, but may have a slight increase. The main change in the graphics card would be the memory design.

While the GTX 1660 has 6GB of 8Gbps GDDR5 memory, the GTX 1660 SUPER has 6GB of 14Gbps GDDR6 memory. This memory is faster than that of a GTX 1660 Ti, which has a speed of 12 Gbps. The memory would be displayed across a 192-bit bus interface and would offer a total bandwidth of 336 GB / s.
From a performance standpoint, the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER could have 5-10% more performance than the GTX 1660, putting it just below the 1660 Ti.
The Radeon RX 5500 XT, while cheaper, is also slightly slower than the GTX 1660 SUPER based on its specs that were released this week. The RX 5500 series is simply aimed at a different price market and competes with the cheaper GTX 1650 graphics card. In this sense, NVIDIA plans to launch the GeForce GTX 1650 Ti / SUPER in the near future.
