Harmonyos will reach more devices in 2020
Table of contents:
Huawei continues to have problems with the United States, which prevents the manufacturer from using Android and Google applications and services normally. So in August they introduced their own operating system, HarmonyOS. Until now it has been used in some devices for the Internet of Things. Although in 2020 it will expand.
HarmonyOS will come to more devices in 2020
It will not be phones or tablets of the Chinese brand that use it. While there are plans for this to happen, 2020 would still be too soon. The company needs more time in this regard, as has already been known.
Expansion in the market
Since the Huawei smartwatches will be the next to make use of HarmonyOS. This is the plan of the Chinese manufacturer, which seeks that in 2020 there are already some watches of its brand using this operating system. Considering that its smart watch, the Watch GT 2 did not come with Wear OS anymore, but instead used its own system, it would not be a problem for the brand.
It seems that quite a few tests have already been carried out, showing that it works well at the software level. This helps the brand to make this decision to use it as early as 2020. At the moment we don't know how many devices will use it.
It will be interesting to see how HarmonyOS is introduced to Chinese brand devices and whether or not it will finally hit phones as well. Google has pressured the American government on more than one occasion to let Huawei use Android. We will see what happens in the end these next months.
