It has been several weeks since the HBO servers were hacked. And even today, we still find out what's new in this cyberattack.

No situation is more frustrating for a tech giant than the online leak of its own creations not yet officially released. However, the famous HBO network is going through one of these stages due to the attack by hackers that occurred about a month ago. However, at the time, all the data captured by the hackers had not yet been released, as the hackers hope to get a generous reward for stopping publishing unpublished episodes and series.

Those responsible for the HBO hack filter new online series

It all started with the 1.5TB of data obtained by hackers. For a considerable period of time, it was not very clear what was in that storage unit. It could be scripts for the HBO series, emails or episodes not yet released.

To clear up any traces of mystery, hackers have already posted several episodes of current and future series produced by HBO on torrent portals. The initial list included Ballers, Insecure, and Barry.

The group of hackers whose name is unknown, asked for approximately six million dollars to stop publishing private information on the web. Since HBO refused to negotiate with the culprits, the latest episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm has now appeared on the web. The return of one of HBO's most beloved series was announced a long time ago, and fans were looking forward to seeing Larry David back in his role. The first chapter had to have been broadcast on October 1 according to the company's internal program.

"We do not communicate with hackers and will not comment each time new information comes to light, " the company said. According to the statement released to Variety, HBO representatives acknowledge the scale of the situation and are aware of everything that is happening. However, they have not yet found a solution to prevent new movies and series from being published on the web.
