Hp announces the 'gamer' pavilion gaming 32 hdr display monitor
Along with its new Pavilion gaming desktops and laptops, HP is also announcing today a new focused gaming monitor, the Pavilion Gaming 32 HDR Display. This is an update to HP's current family of 32-inch monitors, including the Pavilion Gaming 32 and Omen 32. The display announced today has carved a niche for itself by adding support for HDR technology.
Pavilion Gaming 32 HDR is built on a 32-inch VA panel with a resolution of 2560 × 1440, the brightness is 300 nits with a contrast ratio of 3000: 1. The response time is 5 ms and, like many other 32-inch HP monitors, it is FreeSync enabled. It must be said that the response time would not make it suitable for competitive, but it makes up for it with the inclusion of HDR.
The important backlight system used to enable HDR is an edge-lit LED system that supports eight different local dimming zones to increase contrast.
Officially, it is a DisplayHDR 600 certified monitor. This means that it supports limited / mid-level HDR features, including 600-nit peak luminescence for short periods of time. FreeSync technology is present to ensure image fluidity in games, although it does not use FreeSync 2.
The HP Pavilion Gaming 32 HDR Display will cost about $ 449 and will be available through HP.com and other retailers starting May 11.
