Huawei is launching at MWC, the scene in which its new smartphone model, the Huawei Mate Xs, has been presented to the audience as a folding mobile phone that improves the performance of its predecessor.

While the screen, cameras and general design have minimal modifications, the hinges of this model, for their part, have been revised to offer better smoothness. However, here what really sets the cod apart is the processor with which the Huawei Mate Xs arrives equipped, the Kirin 990, accompanied by 512GB of storage, 8GB of RAM and 5G connectivity.

Its operating system, the EMUI 10, is based on the tenth version of Android, although surprisingly it does not currently have Google services, depending instead on the Huawei Mobile Services application system.

What we know about its technical specifications is varied. It has been revealed that its main camera has 40MP and two auxiliaries more than 8MP and 16MP respectively, there is no front camera since we will only have to fold the Huawei Mate Xs to take a photo.

The screen of this folding phone is an OLED panel that consists of two polyamide films, reaching 8 ”unfolded and a resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels. The Huawei Mate Xs once folded has a 6.6 ”main screen and an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9 while on the back it is 25: 9 and is intended as a viewer for selfies among other uses. Regarding its battery, it has a capacity of 4500 mAh and a fast charge of 55W using the charger included in the box.
