Nvidia's new RTX 20 Mobile laptop GPUs will presumably be at CES and the first models using some of these graphics chips are beginning to come out. The first of which we have knowledge is the HX-970 GX from the Chinese company CJSCOPE.
HX-970 GX is the first with an RTX 20 Mobile GPU; It will have three variants with RTX 2080 MXM, RTX 2070 MXM and RTX 2060 MXM
The Chinese OEM called CJSCOPE confirmed the existence of its laptop with the RTX 2080 MXM graphics card. The code - named laptop HX-970 GX will be offered with an RTX 2080 MXM with 2944 CUDA cores and a clock speed of up to 1847 MHz.
Optional specifications also include an RTX 2070 and RTX 2060. The latter will be available on January 15, which is the date we have heard for the desktop version.
Clock speeds are slightly higher than those of Founders desktop editions. These are probably A-variants, which are capable of maintaining a higher frequency. This means more power, but also more energy consumption and less autonomy. The specifications about the battery are not discussed in the slide we are looking at, but it reveals other details about this laptop, such as that it can hold an i9-9900K, its 64GB of RAM maximum and its 17.3-inch screen with 120Hz of refreshment. Everything under a motherboard with Intel Z370 chipset.
Max-Q variants (more power efficient models) will likely be released later when the slimmer designs are ready for launch (like the ASUS Zephyrus).
We will surely have more news at CES 2019, which begins on January 8.
