We have made a table where all the characteristics of the new Intel Haswell-E processors for the LGA2011-3 platform come. The three processors are superior to 6 cores and will have high-end characteristics.

Intel Core i7-5820K

We started with the cheapest i7-5820K 6 cores and 12 threads, 15 MB of cache, 3300 mhz base frequency and maximum with 3600 mhz turbo, capacity for normal DDR4 memory, 28 PCI Express LANES, a TDP of 140W and 8GT / s link speed in PCI Express. Its price is the most tempting, hovering around 320 to 360 € approximately. Without a doubt as a base processor it will allow us to mount an SLI configuration and a good amount of memory.

Intel Core i7-5930K

The substitute for the current i7-4930K, which has slight differences from the 5820K model. It maintains 6 cores and 12 threads of execution with HyperThreading, it has a base frequency of 3500 mhz and a maximum of 3700mhz, it also supports DDR4 RAM, it has all the full PCI Express lanes: 40 and a speed of 8GT / s. Its TDP is identical with 140W.

Its price will initially be maintained at € 499 to € 540, although we do not know how the market will go. It only makes up for buying this processor if we are going to mount more than 2 graphics cards or we are going to use all the PCI Express ports on the motherboard.

Intel Core i7-5960X

It has been a long time wanting to see 8 real cores and their 16 threads of execution in an unlocked Intel processor and with the i7-5960X it has become a reality. The base frequency starts at 3000mhz and goes up to 3500mhz with the turbo core activated. I think we can easily reach 4400 mhz! Which is one step. Intel has not cut itself with 20MB of cache, support for up to 128GB of RAM, 40 Lanes PCI Express at 8GT / s and a TDP of 140W. To take these three beasts to the extreme we will need good liquid cooling and thus avoid their degradation. Its price will range from € 1000 to € 1050. Of course, one of the most expensive mikes in the history of the home PC. It is estimated that the first processors will arrive in Spain in early September.
