The first processor and flagship in the series is the i9-10980x 'Extreme Edition', which is an 18-core, 36-thread processor with 24.75MB of cache. The maximum speed it can reach is 4.8 GHz (Turbo Boost Max 3.0) and achieves about 3.8 GHz on all cores. The price of this unit is 979 USD (price per 1000 units). This is practically half of what the Core i9-9980XE costs.
