Imminent price increase in ddr4 ram memory and ssd disks

DDR4 RAM and NAND flash are increasingly in demand by smartphone manufacturers, so an imminent rise in the sale prices of these components is expected. The price of DDR4 RAM has not stopped falling since May 2015 but the situation would be about to turn around, in fact it has already started to rise slightly and is expected to get much worse.

The following charts on PCpartpicker.com show the evolution of the price of DDR4 2133 and DDR4 2400 RAM since May 2015, the downward trend in the price ends at the beginning of October of this year 2016 and everything indicates that from now on the prices they will keep going up.

We cannot know until when the upward trend in the price of DDR4 memory will continue, but we all have in mind a similar case that we have recently experienced, the rise in the price of HDD hard drives after the famous floods in Thailand. Manufacturers are going to take advantage of the situation and most likely the price will stay higher for a while even if availability increases.
