Intel will launch a new NUC device on the market that will be characterized by the first product based on the new Kaby Lake-G processors, the new multi-chip design that combines its x86 processing cores with AMD Vega graphics technology.

AMD Vega will bring to life a powerful new Intel NUC

This new Intel NUC will be focused on gaming and therefore will be the spiritual successor of the Skull Canyon, the first image of the team shows the use of a motherboard with a smaller form factor than the Mini-ITX standard. The Kaby Lake-G SoC is surrounded by two distinct VRM zones and two SO-DIMM slots for DDR4 memory in this compact format. The presence of an NVMe compatible M.2 slot and two additional SATA III ports is also appreciated so it will be very well served in terms of storage.

The inclusion of AMD Vega graphics will give this Intel NUC a great boost in video game performance, it is the first time that Intel uses graphics technology from another manufacturer in one of its systems. With this we can have a tremendously compact device but very capable of handling video games with a remarkable quality and fluidity.
