Intel cannonlake won't be mass produced until 2019

Intel just shared its financial results for the first period of the year, confirming that the mass production of the first 10 nanometer processors, the Cannonlakes, will not take place until next year 2019.

Intel has been stuck at 14nm since the arrival of Broadwell processors in 2014, the process is increasingly refined and better, but the 10nm should have arrived several years ago. Intel's financial results show that the PC and server business is in excellent health, with growth of 25% compared to the previous period, so there is no rush to jump to 10nm.

The Cannonlake architecture at 10 nm will represent a great leap forward in energy efficiency and performance, allowing us to see new, much thinner and more compact notebooks with great features. One of the first processors of this family will be the Intel Core i3-8121U, included in one of the company's next NUC units and that we could also see in some Mini PCs.
