The Intel Core i7 8700K is going to be the most expensive processor in the new Coffee Lake series, but also the most powerful, and not a few are wanting to update their equipment with one of these chips. It is still missing so that we can have one of these processors in our hands, but little by little more information begins to come out along with the new Z370 motherboards that arrived with them.

Intel Core i7 8700K + ASRock Z370 Pro4 on Sisoft Sandra

Intel Core i7 8700K has been seen in the Sisoft Sandra database along with the ASRock Z370 Pro4 motherboard. We have no images of this new motherboard yet, but as you can see it is already circulating, ready to house the eighth generation of Intel processors.

The Intel Core i7 8700K that can be seen on SisoftSandra is running at a speed of 3.7GHz and can reach about 4.3GHz on Turbo . This processor will have 6 physical cores and will have capacity for 12 threads of execution. This is an important advance over the 7700K which has 4 physical cores and 8 threads of execution, so it should be seen as a great benefit in multi-task tasks. The theoretical maximum TDP would be 95W, although we see in the capture that this TDP can exceed 105W @ 4.3GHz.

The fact of seeing the i7 8700K next to an ASRock Z370 Pro4 would be confirming that the previous generation of Z100 and Z200 chipset would not be able to recognize these processors, in case there was any doubt.

We will see how Intel positions itself with Coffee Lake with respect to the AMD Ryzen, which has hit hard at its launch.
