The Intel Core i9-10900 poses for the first time for cameras. The leak comes from Xfastest and is a non-K variant of the Core i9-10900 CPU. This is the fastest 65W TDP processor in the Comet Lake-S line. The K variants are all rated at 125W, so a 65W 10-core CPU should be an interesting competitor to Zen 2, in theory.

Intel Core i9-10900 in its non-K variant has a TDP of 65W

We previously learned that this processor had a 2.8 GHz base clock, but this sample we see today is labeled with a 2.5 GHz base clock. That said, either the slides released by IC are inaccurate or it is a different (early) sample from the processor.

As we well know, Intel's 10th generation Core processor series will require a new socket, which is the LGA1200. According to Xfastest , the socket will be compatible with existing LGA1151 coolers, so they might fit, but they will still need 125W power for the K series.

Hopefully we will have the first 'clandestine' performance tests of the Core i9-10900 in the coming weeks.

The new series of Intel Core processors 'Comet Lake-S' awaits its launch in March or April.

Batches of Comet Lake-S processors can already be seen in the Taobao shop, but are not yet available for pre-sale. We will keep you informed.
