Gemini Lake is the latest generation of low consumption SoCs from Intel, a platform that has been on the market for several months but is having a rather slow adoption. Now Intel itself has announced the launch of two new NUC models based on these processors.

Intel NUC 7 PJYH and NUC 7 CJYH with Gemini Lake

Specifically, they are the NUC 7 PJYH and NUC 7 CJYH that will use the Pentium Silver J5005 and Celeron J4005 SoCs respectively. These are quad- core and dual-core processors manufactured at 14nm and reaching frequencies of 2.8 GHz and 2.7 GHz respectively. In both cases, there are 4 MB of L3 cache and UHD Graphics 605 and UHD Graphics 600 respectively.

Like all NUCs, these devices come without storage or RAM, so it is up to the user to add them separately. Both computers have two DDR4 SODIMM slots supporting a maximum of 8GB and a 2.5-inch bay for installing an HDD or SSD.

We continue to see its features with WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and gigabit Ethernet technologies. Finally, we highlight the presence of two HDMI ports, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, an SD card slot and a 65W power adapter.

They will arrive for prices of approximately $ 299- $ 399.
