Ipad pro 9.7: everything you need to know

After the official arrival of the iPhone SE, we echo the other great announcement from Apple, the new iPad Pro 9.7-inch for users who need the best tablet on the market but the original 12-inch seems excessive.

iPad PRO 9.7 technical characteristics

The new 9.7-inch iPad Pro arrives with dimensions of 169.5 x 240 x 6.1 mm and a weight of 437 grams which includes a generous 9.7-inch screen with a very high resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels for unsurpassed image quality. This screen has a special treatment to reduce reflections by 40% and an oleophobic anti-fingerprint cover to keep it cleaner.

It also has True Tone Display technology to measure the temperature of the ambient light and adapt to it to offer a better image quality in every situation, it also reduces blue light at night to protect the eyes and avoid problems when sleeping. The display is brought to life by the Apple A9X chip alongside the M9 coprocessor to keep Siri always awake.

Apple has upgraded the four front speakers of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro for even better sound quality than its big brother and so you can enjoy your favorite media in the best way possible.

The optics are well above what we usually see on tablets with a 12MP rear camera with True Tone flash LED and the ability to record video at 4K resolution so you don't miss a single detail. The front camera is accompanied by the same screen flash as the 12-inch iPad Pro for excellent video conferencing.

It comes accompanied by the Smart Keyboard accessories with an SD card reader with Lightining port and a USB adapter for cameras and the same Apple Pencil presented last year.

Availability and price

The 9.7-inch iPad Pro will arrive in late May in space gray, silver, gold and rose gold with storage capacities of 32GB, 128GB and 256GB at respective prices of € 679, € 859 and € 1, 039. There will be a version with 4G LTE and with an extra cost of 150 euros.
