Iphone 7: technical characteristics, availability and price

Finally Apple has officially announced the new iPhone 7 as expected. The new smartphone from Cupertino comes loaded with important innovations aimed at making it the highest-performance mobile device while adding some features that have been missing for quite some time.

iPhone 7 announced with great news

The new iPhone 7 arrives with a design very similar to that of its predecessors although this time its body is made of 7000 aluminum, the highest quality available to avoid repeating the problems of the past such as the famous bendgate. So we already appreciate first that we are facing a device with a much higher manufacturing quality, at least in terms of its chassis.

We continue to see the news of the iPhone 7 and we are struck by something that was already rumored, Apple has decided to eliminate the 3.5 mm jack connector so from now on we will have to use the new headphones that make use of the Lightning port, a maneuver that will limit the user's freedom when choosing which helmets to use. We continue with a new double front speaker configuration to offer a sound quality far superior to what we were used to in Apple terminals.

New screen, quad-core processor and a spectacular camera

We continue with the use of a new screen designed to offer 25% more luminosity with which it will be much easier to use our iPhone 7 outdoors without visibility problems, IPx7 certification that makes it submersible in water for 30 minutes and, no less Importantly, a new much more powerful and efficient quad-core Apple A10 Fusion chipset to improve performance while improving device autonomy. This new processor is 40% faster on the CPU side and 50% more powerful on the GPU side than the Apple A9 processor on the iPhone 6S. The new processor is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM to ensure exquisite performance under the iOS 10 operating system.

The iPhone 7 also debuts a new rear camera that promises to be 60% faster and 30% more efficient than the one mounted on the previous model. This new camera uses a 12-megapixel sensor with a large f / 1.8 aperture to capture more light in low-light conditions and thus improve captures. The new camera's features continue with the presence of PDAF focus, a quadruple LED flash, a dedicated image processor, optical stabilizer, and the ability to record video at maximum 4K resolution and 30 FPS. For its part, on the front we find a new 7-megapixel camera with stabilization. In the case of the iPhone 7 Plus, the rear camera is double to improve its performance to a great extent.

Refurbished batteries for better autonomy

The new iPhone 7 debuts a 1, 960 mAh battery that promises up to 14 hours of navigation using WiFi connectivity and 12 hours with 4G / 3G. For its part, the iPhone 7 Plus sees how its autonomy increases by two hours compared to its little brother, so we would be talking about 16 and 14 hours in the same previous conditions.

The iPhone 7 will go on sale with a 4.7-inch screen at a HD resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels for a starting price of 769 euros for the 32GB storage model. For its part, the iPhone 7 Plus will have a starting price of 909 euros with its 5.5-inch screen.
