The XBOX One X console will be launched in November with the promise of being able to play all games with the best quality and in 4K resolution. During the months after launch, several games have been confirming their support for this new game console, with some 'disappointments', as is the case with Tripware's Killing Floor 2 game.

Killing Floor 2 will work in 1800p on XBOX One X

The creators of this bloody action game have confirmed that Killing Floor 2 is coming to XBOX One X, but it won't in 4K resolution. Apparently the console is not capable of maintaining a high frame rate with 4K resolution.

Tripware commented that moving the PC game to XBOX One X only took 1 hour of work, but when they ran the game, the frame rate plummeted with a 4K - 60 fps setting. The studio preferred to keep 60 fps and 1800p resolution, which is where the console feels most comfortable and can maintain a stable frame rate.

Killing Floor 2 on XBOX One X will also have significant improvements in draw distance and shadow quality over what was seen on XBOX One and PlayStation 4.

It is clear that XBOX One X is not a console designed to play in the glorious 4K - 60 fps, but it could perfectly well in 4K - 30 fps like some other games that have already been announced. Either way, today, a good PC is better than buying an XBOX One X, what do you think?
