2018 will be the year of the arrival of NVMe storage to all users, proof of this is the launch of the new Kingston A1000, which offers this technology in a very affordable way and with great performance.

New Kingston A1000 SSDs with NVMe technology

Kingston A1000 is a new M.2 SSD based on the NVMe protocol, the difference is that it has been built to be economical, but still be three times faster than traditional SSDs based on the SATA III interface. For this, a PCI Express 3.0 x2 interface has been chosen, which enables sequential read and write speeds of up to 1500 MB / s and 1000 MB / s respectively. Its random performance reaches 120, 000 / 100, 000 IOPS in reading and writing respectively.

The Kingston A1000 will be offered in three variants with a capacity of 240, 480 and 960 GB to suit the needs and possibilities of all users. All of them are made with an M.2 2280 format, and with 3D NAND TLC memory chips, along with a four-channel Phison 5008 controller.

All of them are backed by a five-year warranty and have a written data resistance of 150TB, 300TB, and 600TB for the 240, 480, and 960GB models respectively. Pricing has not been announced, but it should be very similar to SATA SSDs.
