Kingston uv400, new faster and cheaper ssd
Table of contents:
Kingston has recently been introducing its new SSD called Kingston UV400 for the entry-level market. This new option from Kingston intends that those users who already have SSD drives can upgrade to this new model without a large outlay, improving the loading times of the classic V300s.
Kingston UV400 replaces the V300 in the entry-level SSD segment
Kingston is promising that the new UV400 SSDs improve startup times, application load times, and file transfers, something that is visible to the naked eye in the comparison table with other brand products.
Using a four-channel controller, the UV400 achieves speeds of 550MB / s read and 500MB / s write, which is about 10 times faster than a normal hard drive running at 7200RPM. In the comparison it can be seen that these speeds equate it to the Kingston Savage at a more affordable price, currently the most basic 120GB model can be obtained from Amazon for about 45 euros, the 240GB model for 67 euros and the 480GB model for 115 euros.

Kingston UV400 will be available from the start in 120GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities, a new drive with up to 960GB of storage space will be added later. These drives will use the SATA3 interface and can be used for desktop and laptop computers with their 2.5-inch USB enclosure.
Ariel PĂ©rez, manager of the SSD division in Kingston commented: "The combination of a powerful four-channel controller and TLC NAND makes the UV400 perfect for consumers who want to upgrade their existing systems at an ideal price."
