The Cupertino company stated in the presentation of its Google Pixel phone that it would have the best camera on the market. These comments were endorsed by the specialized site DxOMark with a score of 89/100. Now a direct comparison of the Google Pixel XL emerges against its direct rivals, LG V20, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the iPhone 7 Plus.

The comparison was made by the people of Greenbot, where they used a tripod on the same stage but with different conditions. A low-light scene and a brighter scene to see white balance.

Google Pixel XL in low light conditions

In the first comparison we see a table that is being illuminated by a lamp with very dim orange light and another bluish light source that enters from the left of the photograph. (CLICK TO ENLARGE THE IMAGE)

In general we see that the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge offers more realistic lighting in this case along with the iPhone 7 Plus, Pixel looks too orange and the LG V20 goes to the other end with a too bluish tone.

Expanded details

When we expand details we see that the LG V20 retains a lot of the details, textures and roughness of the elements, see the Android doll and the details of the wall.

In a well lit scene

In good lighting conditions, the results are different and we see that the Google Pixel offers a more uniform saturation and color like the LG V20, the rest perhaps looks somewhat yellowish, especially on the iPhone 7 Plus. (CLICK TO ENLARGE THE IMAGE)

Expanded details

In these conditions, the Google Pixel approves with note like the LG V20. In the case of the Galaxy S7 Edge and the iPhone 7 Plus, these look more washed out and in the Samsung option the image noise is almost completely eliminated but at the cost of losing details.

Although Greenbot sentenced the Google Pixel as the winner, personally I see the LG V20 as the most winner, but this is just my opinion. What do you think? Which phone offers the best photo quality?
