Sources are revealing Nvidia's plans to launch three new graphics cards in the next two months, the GTX 1660 Ti, GTX 1660, and GTX 1650, all based on the company's Turing architecture.

Nvidia plans to launch GTX 1660 Ti graphics cards, GTX 1660 and GTX 1650

The one that draws the most attention, of course, is the GTX 1660 Ti, of which we have already published a benchmark in Ashes of the Singularity. The GTX 1660 Ti is expected to launch on February 15, using 6GB of GDDR6 memory and 1, 536 CUDA cores to deliver compelling performance at a price of $ 279. If the cost of this GPU is correct, the GTX 1660 Ti will compete with AMD's RX 590, a move that may compel AMD to lower the prices of its RX 500 series graphics cards.

In early March, Nvidia hopes to launch a GTX 1660, a graphics card that will act as a literal successor to the GTX 1060, priced at $ 229. This particular model will offer 1280 CUDA cores (the same number as the GTX 1060) and will come in 3- and 6-GB configurations of GDDR5 memory.

For the low-end, Nvidia has the GTX 1650 ready, a GPU expected to go on sale in late March for $ 179. This model will surely be somewhat above the successful GTX 1050 Ti, although Nvidia did not stop supplying the 1050 Ti to retailers, but both cards will coexist, at least for a time. The GTX 1650 variant will have a slightly higher price than the previously mentioned 1050 Ti.

These are interesting moves to animate the mid and low range of graphics cards. We'll see what AMD has to say about this.
